For Oli4 / Selfcontrolfreak I developed an engine to facilitate his interactive online movie ‘Order’.
The movie will be publicly premiered at V2_ on January 27 at 20h, during the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
During the premiere event I will speak about the role of my engine and the technical issues involved in publishing online interactive movies.

As a test, I ported Rafael Rozendaal‘s intotime.com to paperjs/html5.
Paperjs is an open source vector graphics scripting framework that runs on top of the HTML5 Canvas. It offers a lot of powerful functionality to create and work with vector graphics and bezier curves. The framework is in development and useful features are added bit by bit. It looks very promising.
In the near future I will use paperjs a lot more for the work I do for Rafael Rozendaal.

With Playability I developed a viral campaign for tour operator Sunweb in which visitors can build their ideal wintersports day by choosing activities for the hours of the day. Their day will then be matched against that of their friends and shown in an animation.
It can be played in a Facebook app page and in a Hyves app page.
The application uses the data api’s of both Facebook and Hyves for gathering user data, inviting friends and sharing.

At Ranj I worked on part of a new management game for a large German muntinational. The game will be used to train purchasing managers of this company. The game won’t be publicly playable so there is no screenshots or link.
Ranj has developed their own engine for story driven (management) games with which they can deliver games with interactive, non linear storylines in a relatively short time. My earlier work on Sharkworld and Orde van GIS I was a precursor to this.
It had been a while since I worked for Ranj. It was sure nice to be there again.

Recently, I made a small AR (augmented reality) application for i2, for a direct mail company.
It uses the FLAR Toolkit and supports multiple markers. I did a minor rewrite and optimization of the toolkit to support the desired behaviour for our markers without unnecessary cpu usage.
The application is used in a direct mail campaign in which users receive the markers in the mail along with a url at which they can see a personalized version of the campaign.

For Playability I coded a little application in which users can make a drawing or autograph for world peace. Their drawing then becomes part of one long autograph. The application is part of the website for Peaceweek.

With Playability I developed a game for the Disney game portal. The game is based on the Kick Buttowski series.
The game is an Angry Birds like game in which you have to launch the Kick Buttowski character and try to land him in the right place.
It is built on the box2d physics engine. The game contains a level builder, playback functionality and social sharing.
